Stores coming soon

Why is the "stores coming soon" page of our website blank?

The website has a "stores coming soon" page that's empty, but there's a separate page called "stores in development" where all the upcoming stores are listed. We like to confuse people on our website.

Do any of the recently opened stores have any new technology? Electronic shelf tags, self check out, anything new? Isn't it weird that Amazon has owned us for almost two years and no new technology has entered the stores other than an Amazon locker and some Amazon owned scales for their shoppers?

Amazon is aquiring data and new prime members through WFM. Once it's own chain is up and running, our stores will be flipped over to the Amazon markets and the WFM name will be killed off. I wonder if Mackay even realizes this.

It's not in Amazon's plans.

  • Open 3,000 Amazon Go stores by 2022, which would require it to open 1,000 locations a year.

Stop expanding the 365 by Whole Foods discount chain, after which it said it was placing them all under the Whole Foods banner.

  • Expand Whole Foods' presence in suburbia by offering Prime delivery.

  • Close all 87 store-in-store pop-up locations inside retailers like Kohl's.

  • Expand its Amazon 4-star and Amazon Books chains instead.

  • Open traditional grocery stores, and pursue a strategy of acquiring smaller, local chains to accelerate its expansion plans.
