GM in damage control on glassdoor, possibly other sites as well

GM has a 3.5 overall rating on Glassdoor. Yet miraculously, out of the 30 most recent reviews posted since mid-March, 27 are 4 stars or higher - that's 90%. Looks like GM has engaged full damage control mode since the layoffs.

Fire Mary and her CFO, they aren't welcome in Michigan anymore.

Isn't it odd that there are no reviews from 2/4/19 to 3/12/19? GM must have had them removed to protect their rating. Now I don't trust anything from Glassdoor!

Yes they do. Teams dedicated to cleaning up image on social media.

I am aware through HR that they have teams inside that all they do is social media damage control.

Um it was a good place to work last summer. The leadership in the ren-cen has destroyed the company and morale but the shareholders just keep on letting her do it.

You can see the rating trends, or at least the averages. There's a button that says "rating trends". Everything has tanked since November except comp and benefits.

I wish there were some tool to see rating trends on Glassdoor. A major spike in 4,5 star reviews in 2019 would indicate foul play ...

Yes, you can totally tell which reviews are fake. Those that give 5 stars and have a single line for the negative and say something vague like "There are no cons or downsides to working at GM" are total BS. GM must have hired an outside PR firm to write those positive reviews.
