The 4 hub concept must have been in the planning stages for some time. That would mean that Pepsi intentionally stagnated employees learning and marketability for years while fully expecting to cut them loose anyway. Smart Spend was essentially “don’t spend” on employees that were bagged and tagged. This is particularly damaging for older employees who face extreme challenges finding new employment anyway. PDR Career Planning sessions were delivered with full awareness that commitments would never be fulfilled. It would also explain why there was so many coincidental job changes just before staff reduction announcements. Interesting how certain leaders always managed to get promotions approved or move “club members” to safe areas just before a wave of cuts. No matter how you dress it up it screams of leadership deception. It really sets a context for those who are still on the Pespsi train.

The Devil has no soul
The right thing to do would have been to tell people the end game when they started down this road in 2014. All these people and their families will now be put in distress for believing in this company. At least I can go to church each Sunday and feel comfortable when I pray.
Matthew 16:26
What good will it be for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul?
