Thread regarding General Electric Co. layoffs

I am throwing in the towel on my GE career

More layoffs hopefully it gets to my 1999 seniority date soon. Between this onion we call a union and these clowns running this place like a 3 ring circus these days. It’s coming soon I can smell the 10lbs of t_-ds in this 2lb bag called 273.

What a joke this place has become! No one has a clue how to treat people, no one has a clue how to run a onion hall either. They keep giving and giving and giving and look still people got laid off and many more still to come.

Bring in the t rates to save jobs? How did that work out? Combine job codes to save jobs really you just cut 200 jobs off the table. So much for fighting for job security.

There is no unity in this thing called the legendary onion we are in. Look at unity combined job codes, we made concessions to keep work and jobs here, divided the onion and never gave t rates the support or backbone to better them. Now look more than half the t rates are gone and 200 job gone forever. The great onion strikes again.

The union at ge is just as big a joke than ge management. . Laziest group of union workers I have ever seen. You might not be that person , but by hell the sitting around and right for first refusal is ridiculous. GE managment is flat out evil and the union is the cancer. Both need totally revamped in my opinion. I truly hate that company

Oh please ...the only people tied to direct labor that produce the product are the union workers.... on the other side...the salaried...especially the gold star OMLPs that actually produce nothing..do nothing...and know even less... ask any of them to use micrometers that are not digital...LOL!! Oh... and by the way your CEO’s stole your pensions for their bonuses... while contributing even less than the OMLPs.... and we ponder the reasons parts are being sold off like a used car lot.... ?????

IF you think you don't have to worry about anything because you are a union member and have 20 years under you, then congratulations! You're part of the problem!!! Improvements to fix things so that we can forward and upward never come from that mindset! I also agree this place isn't worth the stress anymore. Especially when there are so many that have the mindset that I just spoke of.
