The death of a Global Core- A look into the very near future

I want to share the absolute death of our core company with others to show what you can expect in next few months. It seems like nobody is being truthful on what is coming down the line.

Our Core President and executive team was RIF'd between Christmas and end of year with last day middle of January. Our core was one of the top ranked company's within GIS for revenue growth, budget attainment and other key stats. Our performance and great service culture did not matter.

Communication to admin team was stay and help with transition and you will get severance. Most never got severance. Our core offices were shut down by middle of February, combined with other cores and name changed to XBS. This all happened within 6 weeks . A thriving company destroyed within 6 weeks. We were part of the first phase of consolidation. Next phases will be coming shortly-Stay Tuned!

I said it before, I'll say it again:

Dan Cooper 1st Meeting with Johnny V: "You wanna do what? Pease, I'm out!" - Mic Drop

Ed Bass walks in as Cooper walks out: "Hey John V, I'll be your B|tch"

Bass is a glorified accountant with puppet strings to Johnny V.

Ed Bass where are you !?! We have no one who cares for XBS /GIS.

This is so sad. All cores are so unique and special we all know how it would feel if we lost of leaders.

I feel for all my Core brothers and Sisters.

@ hzw is on the right path (take care of your customers)

Any great CEO or owner knows you take care of the employee (especially those who are 1st contact with customer) and the customer will be okay. (I.e Warren Buffet, new Software VP Terrence Clarke, Bill Gates, the list goes on). As soon as you put the customer at risk (warning Facebook, Uber, Lyft); you put your business at risk. This is management basics.

The fact that Xerox leadership (Mikey, Steve B, John V) don’t apply this basic concept to Xerox has

to make you question whether they are building a business or looking out for themselves (ino care or thought for customer or employee). Because of this appearance via their actions and no other communications; one must assume it’s the later (looking out for Icahn, Mikey, Johnnie and Stevie). Escape as fast as you can!

Some of our top leadership are either in denial or are lying to us about our futures. Most everyone else at our local is banding together and being supportive, yet our top cheese is unsympathetic.

The last probable merger is already happening, IOT to MOS

Global will never be the same. The executive cuts and the HCL mess are already making the customers feel pain.

Look throughout the history of our industry at the "failures". They were directly caused by companies that lost sight of customer satisfaction. Once the trust with the customer is broken it starts a downward spiral that can't be stopped.

I feel for the good people that will stay and watch a once great organization circle the drain.

RKDixon and Premier haven’t merged yet. As far as I know they are still separate. RK Dixon owns Premier, and has for a few years. No consolidation there yet.

Pretty certain most of our VP’s and Presidents don’t have a lot of insight about the next axe blow. At my core, HR and our managers have fully admitted they don’t know what is going to happen, but to update our LinkedIn profile and brush up our resumes to be prepared. Most of our Veeps are doing the same because they know they are not going to have a job in six months or so.

So sad to hear what's already happened. We've been kept in the dark at our core too about what's happening. We are in the middle of a "merger" with another core now. What's funny is, just a month and a half ago our president told us nothing was happening and the mergers where just rumors. They're going to leave us alone he said. Then we got the email from Joyce, merger project meeting. Our project end date is in May. So many of our people got rebadged and those that haven't are leaving for other jobs too. They're still chugging along with the project even though several of our project leads are leaving. Business as usual for Xerox.

We were one of the cores listed in the first phase. We had such a great family oriented company , exceeding our numbers and taking care of our customers . We were blind sided, our executive team shot dead and both our offices closed within 60 days. Our sales people are out there extending and upgrading equipment like nothing has happened. Our customers are already feeling the pain.

Guys, we never had a chance to know what was about to happen. You are getting some news here so plan to move fast. The “Titanic” is going down and your leaders are leaving you in the dark. If they want to stay on and go down with the ship, good for them. If they truly care about you, they should be making sure you grab a lifeboat and exit the ship now. Unfortunately, the only one that benefits is Carl Icahn and the executive team that has major stock and has lead this ship astray.

This is the worst of big corporate versus local entrepreneurial company and employees. So shameful!!

Here are the Cores who have merged so far - update if you know more:

-Dahill, ImageTek, ASI, Denitech, and OneSource have become XBS Southwest

-SoCal rolled into Mr Copy in California

-MWOS, MOTG, MBM rolled into COTG

-TML into ESI

-Premier into RKDixon

-CTX into QBSI

-Conestoga into Stewart

-Capital Business (PA) into Comdoc

Probable Next Steps - AKA: Speculation:

-Saxon and Zeno (FL)

-Berney and Stewart (AL)

-Zoom and Inland (CA)

-CBS and ITS (CT/MA)

-BOE and QBSI (WA/ID)

-Elan to Inland (NV)

-MTBT to Comdoc (OH)

-LRI to COTG (IA)

-GDP to Berney (GA)

If all the probable merges happen, that gets XBS down to 22 total cores. That leaves another 2 to cores that would need to merge in order to get the number down to the final 20 cores. Down from 42+ cores a short time ago.

This is like a nuclear war with news reports filtering in from across the US on static filled radios. Here in the MW, the news is pretty bad as well from one of the largest cores in the US. Our employees LOVED our company and everything it stood for. Work wise we made a lot of cash for GIS and ran real tight on expenses and overhead. Company did great stuff for the employees. Senior leaders implemented changes for the staff and always planned fun things for us. We did fund raisers for charities, we gathered up clothes for the poor, and on and on. We were a family. Dedicated, loyal, hard working.

Then Xerox ruined it all. They did not care that we knew what we were doing and made them a lot of money. Or maybe they were too stupid to know. Cuts started in January with some of our best leaders getting ax'd. Then the consultants arrived to document our processes to "share" them. We all knew it was BS. Then more terminations, the rebadging, and the end is near for us all. People from Xerox were here this week telling us it was all going to be ok speaking for HCL. We all know that is a lie. People are leaving. The rest of us here feel like its a morgue and now spend most of the days looking for another job. No one wanted this to happen. We loved it here. Now its dead. Thanks for nothing Xerox. You ruined a great thing because you s---ed so bad at your own sh--.

Holy c-ap. This is so sad to hear. I'm wondering if this is a Texas core. If you look at the website of Dahill, you can see they are now lumped in with ImageTek, ASI, Denitech and OneSource and they are now called Xerox Business Solutions Southwest. So I'm guessing it's one of those cores.

How many people were let go?

I'm so sorry. :(

We haven't been told anything at our core, either. Either upper execs don't know, or they aren't saying. In fact, they've been trying to paint it like everything is normal. It's very unsettling.

It's so sad, you must have been with a core in Texas? We haven't even been told what cores closed or merged, it's like a big secret. I keep warning people what is coming, oh i know it's bad! HCL is in over their head, they may have a contract with Xerox but by the time they get the swing of things, they'll have no customers, they will leave in droves, I had 5 cancellations today with more in the pipeline!

Well, which Core were you a part of (the one that was 86’d)? Do tell... at least divulge which state. I can’t imagine you were in the top 5.
