This would normally be a stupid question, but given the state that the company is in, I believe it becomes a valid one. What is our paychecks are late? How long can they delay the payment before the authorities get involved. Also, what if one is forced to leave due to the paycheck being late? Is that treated like living voluntarily, and that person is not entitled to get severance?

By law you have to be paid as far as the laws related to it being late I recommend contacting your local labor commission for information about state and federal employment laws.
@bgz it's a valid question. It isn't as if Eddie hasn't stiffed roughly 1,000,000 other parties out of money he owes them. Just ask all the Canadian pensioners suing ESL.
Focus on finding employment at a reputable establishment. No worries then.
What a zero. If you are that concerned find another employer.
Are you really that simple minded??
Drive down to Miami, find Eddie, and beat it out of him. Bonus points if you use a fully charged 12 volt car battery and jumper cables.
Its not normally a stupid question...
IT ABSOLUTELY IS A STUPID QUESTION !!!
