GE Is going to break up-spin-off Power segment's...They will create a company called SpinCo for this purpose.... The spin off will freeze the pensions, remove the majority of the contractual language with the union. Long service employees who think they will have medical from 60 to 65 are also in for a surprise. GE is only obligated to offer you Cobra @ Cobra rates.. Those rates are expensive. A far cry from what you are use to paying. GE's excuse … your not an employee anymore.. NO plant closing benefits bec of the spin off.. It is the new legal way they screw the employee..

So....this has been known for some time. The core GT and Renewables parts are all current leadership wants from GE’s “energy” legacy business. Who didn’t already know this?

No surprise on the spin off , recall Culp said 2019 was going to be negative cash flow year. Selling or breaking up the non gas turbine portion should be a sh-t show with regard to what value that business brings to GE. Again, as GE spins of large portions of GE industrial segments why do you need GE corporate period. Oh, wait I guess someone needs to take all the cream of the top.
