Does anyone know what will happen to roles such as marketing roles (ex. open houses, tradeshows, creating collateral for sales team, setting up travel arrangements etc.) I feel like these roles would be hard to outsource or rebadge.

If marketing is to be centralized, is that why they hired Anne Marie Squeo as chief communications and brand officer? To lead the centralization?
Marketing will be centralized within Xerox.
I work in marketing at my Core, and I have no doubt we'll be let go or outsourced. For those in the know, will marketing be outsourced to HCL or just dropped? Does anyone know a timeline on this?
Marketing in the core companies will go away and be replaced by a shared service in Rochester (which is itself getting leaner and leaner all the time)
You may think that no one can do what you do but the sr leadership doesn’t see it that way.
And anyway most of those “marketing” things you do are going away to reduce the cost of sales.
XBS Core here as well. We have two in our marketing dept - a manager and non-manager. They are both still with us.
For the two here that responded - when was your marketing person let go?
XBS core here. Our single marketing person was let go. Not sure if it was a local or Xerox decision, but the position was not filled afterward.
There’s only two people in our marketing department, so I’d like to know, too!
We are a smaller XBS core but they laid off our one marketing manager. We were told the position was no longer needed.
Same here! My department does a whole bunch of things just like you do that seem hard to outsource or rebadge
Been wondering this as well, as I am also in marketing. I know, in talking to other marketing people at the cores, we don’t all do the same things. My job is a hodge podge of 30 different things, including graphic design, web maintenance and creating and ordering all printed material.
