Thread regarding PepsiCo Inc. (Pepsi) layoffs

Vote your PepsiCo shares

Please read your voting materials carefully for the upcoming shareholder meeting . More actions to come. Just look at what PepsiCo is in favor of. It’s no good for the employee. Remember, if you don’t vote your shares, PepsiCo will vote them for you. They want to remove the Supermajority vote. One reason to remove this is to plan for a significant change such as a spinoff. If you don’t own shares buy some to ensure you have a voice as a shareholder of the company you work for. Vote against removing the Supermajority to ensure PepsiCo “leadership” does the right thing. Hope I’m wrong on this but think about the sudden change of CEO. There’s a reason for all that has changed over the last 12 months.

And your vote really matters? Get a life! Pepsi only cares about the shareholders not the employees. Beyond that, Directors, Managers only care about the bonuses, trips, etc. that they can expunge amongst their friends and family members. I buy Kroger or Meijer Chips , drink water instead of sugar water. Ahhhhhh...feel so much better.

Removing the Supermajority means major decisions can be made with a simple majority (51%). A supermajority ensures major changes such as dividing the company up is decided by a significant majority vote rather than a slim majority. Assuming there continues to be a desire to breakup PepsiCo, doing so could have major implications to employees who’s pensions may be frozen or worse yet employees let go. PepsiCo leadership is not and has proven they will not do what is best for the long term of PepsiCo. They just want the short term result which always ends up being more money for the wealthy while punishing the workers. This is the case for most corporations and is why we continue to see such dramatic divisions of wealth accumulation. They get richer while you lose your job or get your meager 2% pay raise. It’s time for employees to stand against those who wish to do harm. In other words we must regain balance.
