Thread regarding Bed Bath & Beyond layoffs

This site is full of ignorance !!

Most of you salty and soar people do not have an once of understanding how things work or you just want to wine to the rest of the pathetic individuals on here.

When BB let go of those dept managers in 2017, did you see that we kept many of them? If so, did you ever wonder why? BB kept those that has a desire or skill set to grow. Those that wanted and exhibited the leadership capacity were kept. BB hired all managers that could eventually run a store and did not have a structure that allowed highly overpaid people to receive freight or whatever they did. Sure, some were good people but they got comfortable and it had to happen because they were clogging up the system. My only issue is we should have done this years ago.

Every company goes thru restructing and this site is a testament to that, just look. Lowes, Home Depot, Costco and the list goes on. It's a reality in our environment today and for years to come.

Who knows exactly what will take place next month, next year, etc but for the love of God, either be GREAT at what you do or quit being salty.

This site doesn't tolerate a post that doesn't feed into everyone's fear, so I am safe to say this post will be deleted from the site soon.

Dept mgrs were let go because of their high salary and age!!!!! I was making 80k and had accomplished several BAM’s making my SM look like a boss. I was and have been the SM before and the only factor was the inner circle, salary and age. If you don’t get it it see it then your exacowhat bbb wants, a mule as they say. Mules don’t question, think or contribute anything except their back!!

My husband was a victim of the layoffs in 2017, and lost his job after 18 years of loyalty to the company. They screwed so many hard working, committed employees that day. You talk big, but you have no idea the effects those layoffs had on many of us.

Well, your assumption that your post is going to get deleted turned out not to be true as the post still stands here 24 hours after you posted.

OP should chill as she or his is the salty one - we are merely exchanging our opinions here, some people are angry, some are not but we do have a normal discourse and aside from the OP's post, we typically do not see attacking or personally insulting posts here.

I'd like to suggest to the OP that he or she stops frequenting layoffs.com and spend some energy trying to find an alternative board where things may be more inline with her/his set of values.

You just assume the worst since I dont agree with your opinion. I respect the fact that you "lost a good friend" that day, but let me be the first to point this out to you......hopefully they were a better friend than they were a dept mgr!

Plus BBB did not keep the managers that wanted to be leaders because I lost a lot of GREAT manager friends that day. Enough with your lies, go tell that to the igonorant of which WE are NOT!!!!

Now that I have caught your ear explain this ST or puppet? Have you ever wondered why a thread like this has come to exist? Its because of the lack of leadership that has been placed into your hands. 65k plus employees wake up each day and put on their fake smile to get treated like dirt just to feed their families and line YOUR pockets with millions of dollars without the thought of who gets ran over. I agree the company is struggling, but what sacrifice are you guys making because WE are making plenty. There are laws in place for a reason to protect the average hard working american from you guys like you who squeeze every penny from the less fortunate. When you wake up in your million dollar homes and send your kids off to their private schools, keep in mind WE the less fortunate will be lucky to see ours at all that day!!! GOOD DAY SIR!!!
