Three managers I know (two in my department) have left NOV in the past month. All of them left voluntarily.
Could it be that they know something we don't? Should we be preparing for another restructuring with major layoffs right about now? Or am I just being paranoid?

You're both right. I am better than other directors, but not as good as a VP. And yes, believe it or not, I work for a paycheck... the bigger the better. I work to live, not live to work. Anyone who says they work because they love it is lying... either to others or themselves (or both).
Directors, Senior Directors, VPs, Presidents all s--- haven’t met one in the last 3 years that’s worth a hill of beans, all puff and no wind, not a social skill amongst them and no sincerity.... stock options and ICP are all they are after.
They left because of wanks that go round saying they’re senior directors.... what’s wrong with just being a director? Not good enough to be a VP, but need to feel superior to the other directors? You telling everyone you ain’t got no self esteem homz!
They were probably already looking - I know I am and I’m a senior director.
Then when one got in, they call their buddies to come over too.
Another reason they might have just left st the same time is because now is around the time stock awards and options are issued so they may have just vested.
