Has work started drying up all over the country for proximity appraisers? In my area people are fighting for work and management is pushing proximity to do v supp. Which is just setting us up to be offered an in house position in one of the hubs or out the door.

only about 2-4 per day in WV...can't find enough to fill 1/2 a day. guess my times up soon or going to have to move. Hate to leave my friends and family here in the north.
Well in my area all the PCT , Property Claim Trainers were given estimator jobs and they laid us off. Now the guy that is reviewing your work product is in competition for your job , there managers are a joke. They just changed the rules as they went so they were never wrong, upper management would never make them change a call on a estimate . I mean a total joke, bunch of back stabbing s---s and if the PCT did not go along he was fired or demoted.
The PCT now estimators know all the tricks to have good numbers, they bid repair on parts that need replaced so there numbers would look good. Management knows this is going on. I would not work for this bunch for $500,000 a year. I took my severance and jumped for joy
Six figures is easy to make right now. Unlimited OT if you want it. With a base salary of 82+ you can be over 6 figures in first 4 months of the year

Shhhh. Don't ruin the gravy train for the rest of us. 6 figure income and playing video games half the day. Best job in the company.
It's crazy slow where I'm at but I have spoke to other estimators from other carriers and they are slow also
I work in Chicago North proper it's always busy but that last couple weeks has been slow we'd only get 20 or so assignments in mobility for Chicago metro and that is quite low...
