Thread regarding Halliburton Co. layoffs

Addressing offensive anti GE posts

Why the animosity towards GE and BHGE? As a GE alumni I can say there is a significant practices Hal can learn from GE, hence why Hal keeps recruiting GE talent. In fact, I was told during my sperry interview years back that organic Halliburton does not have skill set to keep us relevant. So don’t shoot the messenger or person when the company tries to upgrade talent level to keep the house clean. Maybe you should be more open changes and upper mgmt would not have to upgrade!!!

GE stopped creating value thru innovation and now only swallows up businesses they want to dissect and divest. Nothing but accountants and lawyers now days

BHGE employees are also a good fit. By hiring BHGE employees it gives Halliburton the opportunity to train their consultants and managers.

GE talent you could pick up at the local community college and you might run across alumni at a night school social gathering.

We need names of that GE talent.

Some GE talent has been shown the door too in the past. So just a GE rubber stamp wouldn’t sell in Halliburton. Delivery and good fit are pre-requisites to see a career here.
