The language about voluntarily resigning if not taking HCL offer is sketchy. Not legal, they're trying to boost their stock price without officially "laying people of." Who's on board for a lawsuit I've already consulted a lawyer.

From my POV, There is no such thing as iron clad when it comes to mistreating employees. A trial of your peers is a situation where people are listening to your claim and evaluating its merit. Xerox would likely avoid any trial on this topic.
They wouldn’t want the details public. They value privacy more than their own blood. It’s as if they may want maltreatment to be their protected trade secret.
Xerox likely strategy:
1) attempt settle for next to nothing, make threats
2) attempt to settle for a little more than that
3) attempt to settle for a little more than that
Etc etc.
Get a lawyer. Justice is So worth the call.
It is so obvious when Xerox chimes in! Let your local media and attorney chime in...will not cost any of us a dime.
Here is what I’m thinking...You Need to understand that Xerox must comply with laws in your state and city and just because high priced NYC attorneys here hired, it doesn’t mean they are correct and will win. It also doesn’t mean that the same attorneys will handle cases all over the country. In fact, they will likely not. If something went large class action I can see Xerox hiring outside counsel to handle and it would take longer.
However, smaller individual claims would likely be handled by very amusing Xerox in house counsel. There is no reason why an employment attorney could not have a claim written in less than 2 hours, and then be served to your favorite Xerox management and HR persons.
If your claim is discrimination or s-xual harassment related over a period of time, Xerox may hire local counsel because you are looking at likely six figure claims.
Good luck peeps.
Again....if 1 person from every core would call local media...huge story! Not going to save us, but it is important...huge platform! GIS....we have always been strong and talk with no action is not us!
Call a lawyer, see what you can learn. But, Xerox brought in a TEAM of high priced NYC lawyers I'm sure to guarantee this thing was ironclad. Do you think Johnny V. just came up with this on his own? I'm not suggesting you shouldn't consult a lawyer, but I'm gonna guess your success rate at right about the likelihood of "ColorQube Makes A Comeback" level. AKA: Unlikely
Just run with it! No time to keep blogging....ACTION. No one can wait....Just act. Think of it as month/quarter end!
I am on board, let's get all GIS employees involved!
Offer letters going out late, close to weekend and commitment due Monday is intentional. Get in touch with attorney!!!
What did the lawyer tell you? Do you have to decline the HCL offer to be part of the lawsuit?
Everyone as suggested earlier should be contacting media. Thousands impacted! Get the story out!!! So what if the outcome is the same but, how long are people in this country going to sit back and just complain. No one right now is sleeping soundly at night! G IS was great!!!
I did not get a letter myself. I commend you for consulting an employment attorney.
I would love to see that happen in all 50 states with cases with standing. Tbh, Xerox couldn’t handle all the claims. I wouldn’t be surprised if they settled every claim for five figures just to move on.
There are so many smart lawyers out there looking for clients and would work for fair prices.
