I have been working for UP for 6 years and I will be resigning here shortly to begin another job. Executive management knows nothing about running a railroad and is just a puppet at the hands of wall street. They also killed two of our Co workers because they were too cheap to implement radio repeaters in our territory....guess what after a lawsuit they continue to battle, those radio repeaters magically appeared....what a joke.

why do people on here get butt hurt when people announce they are leaving for a better job? "No need to announce your departure?" Was there a need for UP to post on their website every time they do anything for the public good no matter how insignificant? I'd rather hear about a former peer of mine succeeding in life than some UP propaganda any day. At least their accomplishments are real.

You are no an airplane, no need to announce your departure.
And we all know...they already had blooad on their hands prior to this most recent incident. If in doubt, stop the line and make the phone calls needed to correct your situation. Don't risk your own life or others for managements convenience. They are vile and evil and should never be trusted. That is all.
Conditions that cause accident/incident always magically heal themselves.
