Thread regarding Xerox Corp. layoffs

XBS summary?

Will someone from XBS please give a rundown on the actions in the cores? Those of us in other parts of the company haven't heard anything about the actions there. What types of tiles are going to HCL?

17 people from just one Core company, not sure about the other 4 companies that make up our core

800 people times 100,000 per person (including not just salary, but benefits, office space, etc) is about 80 million. Throw in a couple of VPs and you may make it.

The HCL contract is estimated to save Xerox $120 million per year.

There were approximately 525 XBS employees who moved to HCL, and 275 between direct and Canada that moved over.

Moving 800 people to HCL isn't going to generate anything close to $120 million per year in savings.

This is only the beginning of the HCL story.

Round two is likely going to hit IT, Op’s, most of the Call Center staff and possibly anyone left in Finance. Round three will take out most of the Presidents and any non Sales VP’’s.
