If I've been here for a short time, am I in danger of being laid off?

This is for : @YYjX4Lr-1ooc spoken like a true SVP who does not want their bonus impacted as they continue the headcount cutting.
Are you in IT? if so, you will be unless you're managing the contractors. It's in the plan. There will be no PepsiCo employees by 2022 except those managers. They are outsourcing it all. You may be rebadged (outsourced) but you will not be an employee.
Yes you are. I have first hand knowledge of an employee with less than one year who was let go in the recent actions. It’s all about what team you are on.
I was with the company for 21 years before they let me go in Feb. so my opinion may be biased but based on experience.
If you are in IT I would not be hopeful for a long term job with the company as just every function and team will be outsourced.
If you are on the business side and customer facing you probably have a salary near the bottom of your band pay scale which may give you some job security for a couple of years.
The PepsiCo of today is not the same company that hired me two decades ago. Back then employee appreciation and loyalty meant something. On the Beverage side saying someone was "True Blue" was a compliment to individual for their knowledge of the business and their loyalty to the company. These days leadership regard a FTE as a liability to be let go at the first opportunity. Employee Appreciation is a joke, a HR propaganda exercise that means little. Employees are asked to do more as functions continue to reduce head counts and those with the most seniority and knowledge are being let go. With the toxic work environment that the current leadership has created, the continue drive to outsource, restructure or whatever to reduce headcounts and costs so that the company can spend billions of dollars to buyback shares rather than reinvest the money in the business and its employees I would not advise you to hope for a long term prosperous future with this company
No. Highly unlikely. All of this is impacted an overall very small percentage of people.
Lol, depends, are you willing to relocate to India or Mexico ?????
Look busy.
Very yes.
As in under a year.
