Sales “leadership summit” in Atlanta is just another sales party.

Product design has been at HCL for some time now. That's why so many new products are copy paste of 20 year old designs for certain subsystems. Our competitors actually change their HW architecture. Xerox just changes the controller(at least for mid/low A3).
I just read a post that stated the technical teams are fine.
That’s highly inaccurate.
I have been told by a 100% reliable source that the high level technical teams for all technicians that go to a customer site AND the high level technical teams that take the direct customer calls, have all been transitioned to HCL. These are not front line teams.
This leaves a very gray area as to the future of support for the product as some of these people have forty-plus years of experience
How do you replace that?
Shocking news.
Sell it, who’s supporting it?
Wow.
"If you are in sales, good for you"
I DON'T THINK SO!
While the average rep at a GIS core may not be feeling the pain, YET, they soon will be. Despite their denials, I know for a fact that Xerox has plans to standardize the sales rep comp plans and they will be a significant decrease from what an average rep made at a performing core. On top of that, when there is no customer service, no billing or sales support, and no supply or equipment delivery at the local level, (all of which have already happened or will happen over the next several months) sales reps will be at the mercy of some clueless $1 per day kid in New Delhi and will not be able to support their customers. If anyone believes that having your hands tied behind your back and making less money sounds "good" then sell for Xerox. If not, follow the smart talent that is moving to Canon and other manufacturers that care about the future of their companies.
Face the reality, the only group of people that Xerox will take care of is the group of investors who are receiving a record share of profits obtained by mortgaging Xerox's future.
That’s a lot of white guys! I second the old white men comment. Lol
We did not do any downsizing when we sold to Global/GIS. In fact, we have had a pretty good 6 years under GIS. Then Icahn entered the picture and it’s never been the same since.
Yeah, I guess if you’re sales, good for you. But what made us great was all of us working together as a team. Of course you don’t have a company without sales, but our admin and support staff are vital to our company. Sad to see them discarded while chasing the almighty dollar.
One of my mentors is there and he is a great person. The hate I see on here is misdirected. I work for An XBS core and we are selling quite a lot. Of course there was going to be blowback from the HCL deal that hurt many people, but for now the customer facing employees are doing just fine. At one point we were all global employees and xerox bought us. Do you remember the downsizing then? I do, and we recovered and provided great service and customer support. I do feel bad for the admin staff, but the technical and sales staff are thriving.
@1yxz
omg that is exactly what I thought, haha
That's a lot of old white men.
How many non trustworthy people can you fit in one room, makes me want to throw up!

The fact that Johnny and all his cronies are blowing smoke up people's asses about how great their dying technology is makes me laugh!
Are there seriously still people out there who can't see through all this BS?
Illuminate me, what I am missing?
Xerox took the approach, “Partner or Perish”. Unfortunately it was to the detriment of the Partner. Imo it’s blow back City. Nobody trusts Xerox.
It looks really fun. Great family photo of them all and various selfies!
@YXc9DJY-iok - you must be new look
Because God forbid you try to keep your employees happy.
Newsflash---a lot of us are not going to have a job so you really think we care if Xerox makes $
I'll be there with the TP when they go down the toilet and loving every minute of it!!!
Well,if your company isn't selling anything then you haven't got a company or job.
BTW these kind of events are common place in most sales driven companies even when money is tight. You want to keep sales and partners happy.
Life is good for agents and most of them are hiring.....
