Thread regarding Frontier Communications Corp. layoffs

Life lately at Frontier

We techs were encouraged for years to OWN your customers give out your business card. Not now no way customer calls you cant help them without a ticket. Try to get a ticket made. No not aloud to do that. It is so hard to do the right thing.

They just seems to want us to fail. And they now are handing out suspensions like candy. Next they are going to start firing poeple

I left and never looked back. The only people that truly cares/cared about this trash company are the people on the phone and field techs. Everyone else is in it for themselves. If your reading this and still work there, please increase your skill set and move on. Only got here because I saw a post on LinkedIn.

The hunt is on...they are are putting pressure on managers to write people up, if they dont...they will be gone.

This is not just a Frontier thing. I work for another telecom provider and it is the same way here. I worked for Frontier for almost 10 years before I moved to another state. The company that I work for now used to tell us to OWN the customer just like Frontier did but now it seems like they want us to fail. I don't bother to give out my care anymore and when a customer asks if they can call me directly I tell them that they can but besides trouble shooting over the phone I can't help. If I have a habitual trouble customer I give them my supervisors number so he can handle it. I'm done bending over backwards to help this place succeed when they don't try to help me do the same. As a technician we're out here trying to turn chicken manure into chicken salad.
