This is mainly for all commissioned sales reps. I just want everyone to understand that if you take any vacations or other PTO days it will negatively affect your estimated retention bonus as well as your severance pay. From what I understand, those days will count as $0 when they use the next 6 months to determine severance and retention bonus. You will likely not get exactly what they estimated you would when you factor this in along with the taxes that will be applied. One more thing to think about is when stores begin to move on from Nestle DSD and into warehouse, you will be losing out on commission over the next 6 months as well, negatively affecting those estimations. I think it is a good severance package and for those who want to stick it out and collect at the end, you could certainly do worse. Just wanted to give you things to consider when you are waiting for that big pay day at the end of all this and it looks quite a bit different then what you thought you were getting. I'd hate to see some of you pass up a good opportunity in hopes of getting what they estimated only to be dissapointed . I wouldn't take any vacation unless you absolutely have to.
