In all seriousness, of current employees, are you going to stay and see how things play out or are you actively looking for another job?

As I have posted before, look at the track record of new owners.... when have they ever turned a business around..?? That would be never... they lost $900m in defaulted loan payments with sgas.... getting a return on that loss is their sole focus.... their issue is the new value of sgas is down to $340m, so not much to sell. Their only option is to bleed sgas dry with cost cutting (eg layoffs)
Anyone that thinks new owners are going to invest for long term are delusional.
Get out now...!!!
I’ve been actively looking. I’m out as soon as I get an offer.
It is amazing, it seems like the managers and directors that were recently bought in or promoted either has no experience or no skillset for the industry. With that being said, it will be irresponsible to not look for something else. The writing is on the wall! Hope can only go but so far.
It would be more hope if the CEO has experience directly in the industry and was at an successful company.
Seriously, as a former long time sungardian, get! out! Now! There is nowhere to go but down, the vultures are going to walk away with millions in bonuses, and the actual doers will walk away with nothing. Don’t get caught off guard, work on your resume and get the hell out. Trust me, the grass is greener on this side...
Actively looking. You would be foolish not to since nobody knows if Mike Robinson is charged with fixing the business or scaling it back and selling off the pieces.
If Sungard AS did not allow people to work virtually, most of the workforce would have left a long time ago. If I find an opportunity that works for me, I will definitely be gone regardless of the hope the LT is banking on. I hope (there is that word again) that Sungard AS gets healthier for all the employees sake, but you can't rely on hope.
Even if they straighten out the products, there might be a barren workforce left (that includes India) to implement and support, and recruiting is not going to be easy if people have multiple offers or do their research.
If you need to keep working, it would be reckless to not be actively looking for new job. Look at the history of how new owners operate, they are not here to grow the business...
Actively looking, too many factors not in our favor to take a chance on SGAS any longer. Appreciate the positive posts and cheer leading going on, everyone has a personal choice to make but that has absolutely little impact on what the new money will do to this place in the next 18 - 24 months. My feeling is that slowly what little assets are left will be sold for whatever they can get for them, customers will continue to leave and there will be little product improvement or momentum in the areas that count moving forward. I need to find an environment that is growing, not one that is working with an anvil over your head and has the negativity this place puts out. I'm not screaming it from the rooftops as it's a personal choice, and we all need to evaluate our own situations and make one that is best for each one of us.
I am in!!! I work in sales and feel that the momentum has never been greater (in the recent years). Sure we have our challenges but the opportunity is clearly more substantial.
