Thread regarding PepsiCo Inc. (Pepsi) layoffs

So Stressed

I tell myself every Sunday night that tomorrow will be fine. Unfortunately, I don’t believe it anymore. Too old to start over, but too young to stop working. I wish my company respected employees as they once did. Young people starting out; one piece of advice. Do your job, get your experience and move on. Companies like PepsiCo no longer see value in their employees. No need for anyone to be loyal to their company anymore.

"own your own career and look out for yourself". Absolutely. I'll take some liberties and change one word. "Career" to "business". You have full control to succeed and if course fail but you will be 100% in control of your career and path.

i quote an European Pepsico Finance manager / CFO : "but, but , but , you should be very happy that we paid you all these years your salary "

Seems that he is now working for MAMMUT Sports Group AG , so watch out there

I was one of the employees discarded in February but I can tell you before that I hated Sunday nights as I knew the meat grinder started back up on Monday. But I tell you for me it was a blessing as my stress level and anxiety went down to near zero. There is life after Pepsi and please don’t let that place get the better of you. I was around there long enough to see a once good company go in the toilet. They had and have damn good people working for them but they don’t care. There is a special place in hell for people like the ones ruining Pepsi like IN and now RL

My last employer was a perfect example of what you write. Many years dedicated service, good performance then they just kicked me to the curb with no severance. Was also 5 years from early retirement age when they did. PepsiCo is likely just as bad. They all are. No loyalty. Just slick "Talent" acquisition hacks who market and peddle bull to young prospective recruits. Dont drink the kool aid. To my younger colleagues: own your own career and look out for yourself.
