Thread regarding Xerox Corp. layoffs

Can we expect the widening of the HCL deal?

Can’t believe that a whole week has gone by and nobody at my location has mentioned outsourcing or HCL. Thing ae slowly quieting down, but I ask myself what’s next. All seems possible, except that things will stay this way. Can we, and when can we expect new outsourcing or widening of the deal with HCL?

Some of the posts relate to Cores only, including the leaked Powerpoint. Others are posting for other parts of Xerox, such as IT. Both can be true.

Just spoke to someone who was rebadged May 1, was informed (via email) on April 25. Mentioned they had 3 days to decide, and several members of their team were also rebadged May 1st. So apparently it's a continuing process.

Part of it might be the way that HCL has bungled the initial rebadging process to date. They need time to get their collective Sh** together and figure out what they are doing with the employees they gained all at once, and the ones that are leaving just as fast. This whole experience at least from my core's perspective has been a cluster at best and a downright disaster at its worst.

There will be no more rebadging to HCL in 2019. Everything in the 50+ page PowerPoint pertains to those who were rebadged, not the core companies as a whole. Someone correct me (with proof) if I'm wrong.

ok, the 53 page presentation said 95% of jobs will be in guatemala or india so either you're going to HCL or more than likely you're going to be shown the door as they have everyone they need already to train who will be taking over those jobs!

I dont think you will see any rebadging again anytime soon. They are spending the next 12 to 18 months going through figuring out what jobs they just accepted and getting it streamlined. Once they get through all that then yes likely will see another phase of rebadging.

HCL will not be rebadging any more Xerox people. They are now beginning the hiring and training of people in India who will take our jobs. Find the power point from two weeks ago, it lays out departments and timelines. Best of luck to you.

People at your location should take a good hard look at the current job market. There are 1.5 MILLION MORE JOBS than the number of people UNEMPLOYED. It's the best market for job seekers in over 50 YEARS!

Take advantage of this outstanding economic climate and GET OUT WHILE YOU CAN. The grass IS really greener on the other side.
