Don’t get me wrong, I’m a long timer at UP and an employee that enjoyed working at this company. However, With all that is happening I don’t see this whole situation having a positive outcome for anyone, except maybe for the leadership. I imagine how other folks are feeling when I, Who was a true “company soldier” wouldn’t have anything against taking the severance and leaving the company.

Then take the severance and leave.
Hand in the bush, as my old man used to say...
Bird in hand is worth two in the bush as my old man used to say. If you’ve got an opportunity to bounce out and it’s not a pay hit I would go. The scenario does NOT get any better with PSR. Once. BN goes that route UP will be competing again to lower the “ratio” even further. Robotics, AI, single man crews, autonomous vehicles...all factors for the future of transportation. Waiting on the chance to run away and never look back. Been a nice run but see ya UP-
If you’re content, then wait for severance and go from there. If they never walk you out, keep earning money and time for retirement, while not taking things too seriously and chuckling at the sh-- show. That’s if you’re relatively content.
Cash out and move on. You'll thank yourself later.
