If you quit before finding a new position that offers medical, what are the best options for health insurance? What are people who need coverage doing these days?

If you and spouse together make 62000 or more you are looking a 1500 a month and a ten k deductible in the “affordable “ care act to keep similar benefits. Thanks for nothing Obama.

I am using the ACA .

Went through an agent .

If you are in good health , do a Bronze Plan and have a subsidized 0$ per month setup.

Deductible is much higher , but I can cover it , so I am in good shape for now.

Agent makes it easier , and, regardless of politics, the ACA will be around a while.

I am in SC , just retired after 20+ years with Lowe's.

Get on your states health exchange. I have insurance that is much better than I had. $10 co pay, $5 lab tests, $1000 copay for $300 a month. It’s a silver plan. If you don’t need that much coverage there are less expensive plans. California is more expensive so you’d probably pay much less.
