APC hands out in the cold

APC hands day of reckoning is near!

When the deal is done, Chevoxy will lay off everyone who is not a EVP or pumper...I hope you’ve treated your vendors fairly and showed respect to your competitors. There’s a whole lot of folks in the oil patch who couldn’t be happier that APC won’t exist in 2020. Your organization has treated too many people poorly and screwed tons of folks out of billions of dollars

Good luck finding jobs!

Welcome to the Oil Patch! Welcome to competition! I never cheated or stole a penny from any supplier or competitor. I never acted in bad faith. I never took a penny from anyone but my employer in accordance with the terms of my employment for hard work, smartly and fairly performed. I've had plenty of conflicts with others who wanted to be carried or coddled or compensated for their own mistakes. What does the contract say? Couldn't slip you some money even if I felt sorry for you, Internal Audit and Legal and AP would catch it.

I won't leave Anadarko rich, no Wes windfalls for me, no $65mm bonus, no gratuities from suppliers. I didn't blow up any houses, I did not shovel sh--.

Anadarko did not have enough market power to throw its weight around and systematically take advantage of suppliers and competitors. Sorry if you fell short in the eyes of your own company, I guess your HR didn't put together as good a team, at least until RAW got in.

Still stewing about your own shortcomings? Get over it, life is short. And when Anadarko talent frees up, I will either be working for your company or in competition with your company. Anadarko isn't Enron, we won't be hiding these years on our resumes. The Anadarko brand will open doors.

My next employer will have to be a similarly strong team, not populated with grudgeholding whiners.

Well said. The APC arrogance has been tolerated for years. Karma.

That's seems like quite the blanket statement. Sure there are likely a few groups within Anadarko that have a black mark on them for how they've treated vendors or service companies, but the overwhelming majority of folks who are laid off won't have to rely on luck to find new jobs.

Also if you think anyone in Anadarko, regardless of position, is 100% safe, then you probably have a surprise or two coming your way.
