Thread regarding Xerox Corp. layoffs

Was it all for nothing?

Did the mass layoffs stabilize the company and took it out of the free fall? I don’t think so. So, all philosophy aside, it turns out that the management only conducted the layoffs to keep themselves in position a little longer until they open their golden powerchute and walk away with heir fat bonuses. Cutting so many people for their selfish and superficial reasons. It sickens me.

I really think Visentin is just in there as Carl Icahn's boy to carve off the pieces that they can parse out to existing partnerships/agencies and sell the rest after they gut the assets completely. It may hold up for a few more years but they've probably leveraged it to the hilt so that it crashes down when they are long gone and can't be held accountable. The brand may continue in some aspect but the company is a goner.

It’s all for personal enrichment. They don’t care about us.

Not by a long shot. This isn’t even about stabilizing anything. It’s about continuing to cut costs and selling their shares. That’s all the current AND previous mgt know to do.

@YLdOTlW-ipt, read the post. They clearly stated that it had NOT stabilized the company. Not to be rude, yet read before commenting.

There have been “mass layoffs” for 18 years. These are far from the first (and probably far from the last)

In all that time the company has been in steady decline. Why on earth would you think the recent round has stabilized anything. Really? I don’t mean to be Rude. Truly I don’t. But You must have no sense of what has gone before.
