All the bickering about who worked harder or who s---ed more is ridiculous. We’re all f’d! Exploited by a poorly managed and unscrupulous company. You’re all falling into their divide and conquer strategy so we won’t direct our anger at the real culprits

And let’s not talk about what off days people get....relief gets no set schedule, can work 8 days straight if they have a B route and then and AB route the following week. Nothing about this job is structured the way it should be. Oh and let’s not say I had a choice about being relief, when they bid your office for the reroute and cut 8 positions, so your left getting transferred up to the next closest location and at the bottom of the bidding pool despite having more seniority than them. Nestle’s f---ed me already once this past year, just waiting for Tuesday for it to happen to all of us 😒

More like commute time is 1.5 minimum with traffic, plus being relief....and one of the routes running out of our office is an hour commute from the office, so that’s already 3.5hrs on the clock so not hard to work a 12-14hr day with 12/13 stops on this RSR route a day. Mind you it’s the only commission based RSR route we have left. So...wanna y’all about ABs having no time for a life...I feel ya. But out here, the ABs have a way lighter work load than the others do. Can’t say for all areas so don’t get so butt hurt about the comment.

If your working 14 to 16 hrs. a day your either s--- at your job or your milking the clock telling everyone your life story and noone wants to hear it! That's the kind of dead weight that's needs to go anyway!

I think they’re shutting the business down Tuesday because they know the news we’re getting is going to be so upsetting And none is gonna be in the right mindset to work afterwards.

AB guys always get the sh-- end of the deal.. I'm a psr guy.. all the monster stores that these guys have spread out thru their week, I get in 1 day.. not to mention zero social life.. kids birthday parties or family get to gathers, forget about it. As far as Tuesday goes, as much as I wish I could stay positive in this situation. There is no scenario that I can play out in my head where this ends well for us. If we are not all fired on Tuesday, it will come a few months from now.. or we keep our jobs but at a much lower pay.. I'm hoping for the best but absolutely preparing for the worst.. just updated my resume and I'm filling out apps... I know not everyone of us is perfect and blame can be passed around, but at this point. what's going to happen is going to happen..I honestly thought Nestle culture was different.. like Nestle was a big family.. I've always been proud to be a Nestle employee.. boy was i wrong .. no matter what happens Tuesday, best of luck to all of you.

There is this one saleman who has this cool holster with his yellow towel, gloves, handheld, and saftey cones attached to it. He works about 16 hours a day and refuses to go home after his shift is over due to marriage problems. He also will work off the clock to save the company money according to him.

And this you are one of the problems. I know the pay scale isn’t fair. And the new reroutes aren’t equal for sh--. The ABs have it entirely too easy and the main 2 guys have to work 12-14hr days just to get the drops worked. But milking the clock cuts into profits. And makes it look like it’s better to sell/warehouse. We all know it’s bad news coming Tuesday. All we care if we still have jobs. Probably better to be bought out than continue to work for Nestle. As they will just continue to run us into the ground.

I have a question on proper work methods, and the proper distance my cones should be for my designated work space?

I’m asking this group because their seems to be a lot of knowledgeable people on this thread that can help me?

The DSL for my team is a joke. I am not exaggerating when I say he cannot do anything correctly. He cannot spell the most basic of words or get any kind of message across clearly. He can’t send people to where they need to be to ensure shelves are full to make sure we’re profiting. He refuses to address issues brought to him regarding merch leaving stores half empty with product in back. If he happens to venture out from his house because he has to write some orders, the stores will be screwed up for weeks after with the wrong items in. He flat out does not care about anything except reports. I think of all the areas with DSLs like him, and whatever bad news is coming Tuesday makes a lot of sense.

Oh my god this person could’ve said it better

We should have seen this coining..we have routing specialists who couldn't route there way home correctly..they are bringing in DSL's straight from college with no experience and telling PSR's what to do who have been doing this for 20 to 30 years. We have way to many people at the office sitting with positions that are useless ..to many DSL's..its top heavy with no support for the PSR'S. I'm working 10 to 14 hour days. This is wrong what they are doing to us..they should have told us instead of letting stay in the dark. The severance probably be c-ap for the years some of us put in.Way to go Nestle

My depart will be having a meeting 4 hours after everyone else’s meeting, does this mean that we are safe? The only thing that would affect us is selling ice cream but if they were giving us bad news wouldn’t it be at the same time as everyone else?

Backup on the RSRs riding the clock .... if fair % was paid , there would be no need to have hours involved in the first place . You cant put a time on great service , and what the hell should anybody care if somebody can sell 10k in product in 2 hours or 20 if it all pays the same. Base pay and clocking hours was a huge mistake. If im great and efficient at what i do , i get paid less ; but if i s--- and take forever to do it , i make more .... what lame business model did they get that from? Or is that the brainchild of Nestles very own management and HR department that rolled it out ? Just brilliant.....

This industry we are in is no longer viable for long term careers. People aren’t shopping like they used to, supermarkets aren’t the same and a lot of online ordering. DSD companies are all feeling this and I’d suggest to anyone who will be impacted by this to change careers.

A lot of open positions at Schwan in Florida something to think about I can’t believe this is happening we all can be working for cardboard pizza company

Post ID: @9qtc+YL7MLuY

Nestles failure is its ability to have people in charge that dont know anything about a DSD business and/or trucks it does however waste a lot of time and energy. The mental exhaustion of working for Nestle is crazy; i worked 15-18hour days prior to the pizza buyout and went home happier and healthier than i do now.

Realistically , other than the idiocy of constant out of stocks on orders , alot of the sales problem can be blamed on the original pay change when they went to base pay + chinese overtime for reps instead of adopting the straight commision % pizza worked with for 2 decades . Nobody wants to need a CPA to figure out what their check should be ; and the only incentive ever needed to get people to bust it out was a straight 5% commission. Nestle raped the $$ from the business every chance they could and it caught up to them , now we all get to go thru this.

Companys that put people in positions they dont belong in just to fill numbers and quotas never come out on top; look at the joke walmart is becoming. And lets face it , any paycheck written for anyone above sales rep or warehouse order selector is a 100% liability to the company , yet management gets the bonus checks all this time and we got to be happy we still had a job. Now they’re probably gonna take that too; truly rock bottom for a company that has so many workers that still love what they do for some crazy reason.
