Hi there! My store closed earlier this year. Here are some warning signs we noticed. New merch will start to slow until it’s just a few house brand items and your top sellers. RTVs will start to get larger, we noticed it was mostly Nordy brand items as well. (Almost like they wanted to get their products out before the other vendors.) Your SM will start getting pulled into these daily briefings with HR on how to handle the announcement. (Media, employees, their future with the company) DMs and ADMs will catch on first, but will be left in the dark until everyone finds out. So if they say they don’t know, chances are they don’t. You’ll get a lot less merchandise before big holidays. Think less fragrance sets before father’s day/mother’s day. If your store is a lower volume door with consistent red days on flash, that’s an issue. Finally, if your SM announces an all store meeting for the next day... Yikes! **BONUS: One of the Nordstrom bro’s show up to said meeting... you’re f---ed.
