Thread regarding General Electric Co. layoffs

Will CAS/XLP be part of Layoff after the earnings call?

Have not heard anything about these 2 programs. I hope they cease to exist as they provide zero value in today's market.

XLP is a disgrace. We "train" people who could not make EB on their own. GE prefers the 3x5 card. Just like the automotive companies of the past. Maybe we can pull off an old GE -> new GE, just like GM.

CAS: useless people, they are clueless and have just been convinced by HR they are the chosen few. Nonsense. Those people are dangerous. Some should be in jail for not reporting serious issues that have put the company on the verge of collapse.

XLP: all those rotational programs are a joke, they cost the company a ton and bring no value. People are being promoted AUTOMATICLY from PB/SPB to EB without being qualified or battle hardened, not having been tested in any way shape or form. K--l the XLP program, right away.

Also: k--l Cretinville altogether. Thousands of folks have gone through this brainwashing machine, that turns people into communicators that have zero critical thinking ability.

Promote based on merit only: skills, history of delivery results, proven leadership ability and experience.

Well they sure don't bring anything to the manufacturing table. Maybe it helps them advance in management faster but on the shop floor you might as well hire a sixteen yr old to do that job. I'm serious about that. They bring zero or negative value... and I have seen a ton of them. You should really think about letting them do a 5 year apprentice program when they start to give them some real knowledge. Six months in a role is a waste of resources.

XLP and CAS are good concepts, however the candidate selection process and mentoring they get that is the problem. And it's the candidates current and past that define the success of the program. Today, we feel this way due to the candidates selected and the minimal growth/business imoact they have.

If GE got rid of the XLP program it would fix everything. The most important thing wrong with GE is the XLP program.

No one cares about that. Don't be a dumb--s. Sales... New products... Service upgrades... Great stuff to talk about. XLP? No one cares except washed up retired guys.

No don’t think it is going away any time. Too many powerful people will want the programs to continue.

Arse kissers and the children of the elite and connected always need a place to put in a little bit of time to become executives in a fast track way by taking credit for others work.

How else do you think CFO’s and CEO’s will get created in GE?
