Thread regarding Windstream Corp. layoffs

This is absolutely ridiculous

I swear to god there are 3rd graders running this company. I have teenage daughters that are more consistent in their daily routines. These people (directors and above) are obsessed with constant change of systems. It’s literally constant!! Who and I want names (I can guess a few) continue to come up with new, and supposedly more efficient software that is supposed to help us? It’s a goddamn circus! And has been for a few years. But they keep coming up with new stuff in the name of making things more simplified.

It’s not simple. It’s not fast. It’s not working correctly. It’s beta tested for 24 hours and basically puked on people to figure out.

Which system would you like me to name? I’m in a lot of them and they ALL are like pulling teeth! Not fast, not accurate, not consistent.

Were more silo’d than we’ve ever been. Way more!!! The right hand in this company has no clue what the left hand even does or is faced with.

The VPs day make it work, I’m going home. The CEO says sell it and I’m going home. The sales folks get a signature, quickly throw it in one of the cumbersome systems and, I’m going home.

This is absolutely ridiculous.

Blame network integrity for the mess. They were supposed to,correct all migrations. The whole Department is laughable. There about 5 people in the whole dept that has a clue as to what they are doing. The FTT was a complete mess. They just want the tickets worked. Right or wrong. Need the numbers. Yes, there are a few good ones so they throw all the work on them. They hired people with 0 experience

Part of it is customization. Most of the issues are related to plain old junk records. You can thank our provisioners and service delivery for that.

Thanks for the Oracle link. Yes, I’d agree that’s critical to get right. I opened the link to the PDF link and noticed the client operating systems were Windows 7 and 8.1. I’d think they’d list 10 also if this was an actively maintained and developed product.

Out of curiosity- are the problems due to this being junk, to it being implemented and customized incompetently, or to it being filled with junk data?

Also, I’d think that all those acquired companies would have data in different fields and structures- making it hard to merge.

Hope some new management gets it sorted out or maybe just starts over.

I’m an ILEC customer trying to follow this. What are ASOCs, M5s, and M6s ?

Where / how are they used? How do they cause trouble? Are they everywhere in Windstream or just some places?

M6,M5, they should’ve sc-apped both of them and rolled them to cams and Made up new ASOCs.

All those excuses to protect jobs caught up with win. Only thing I want to say is good eye to all you Paetec Pukes that are the primary reason we are in Bankruptcy.

From their rainbow trainers to the slim ball addendums they used to count revenue. They were all a scam.

Did anyone if you guys have the trainer who said he was a successful sales person.

Wanted to tell him no you weren’t or you wouldn’t be sitting here in front of me telling me about it.

You have of a kid/norlight customer that were never consolidated into one circuit.

Even when integrated, they are wrong. Most issues go to prodapt anyway. The management is horrid. I tried. Its never going to be correct. FE to M6 is still wrong

And they blame it on the back up servers. That's why it's slow.

LMFAO and after years of dealing with 2 M6's now they are saying it is running slow due to not enough memory. Well aren't we a data company? Who got the kickback for splitting m6 so instead of one you now have two that do not work most of the time? The biggest problem is the people making these bone headed decisions never ask anyone who has to work with their sh--ty systems and have a time limit to get it done.
