Thread regarding PepsiCo Inc. (Pepsi) layoffs

Which parts are next in line to be reorganized?

I know that reorganizations have become a part of Pepsi culture and are something that we confront almost on a daily basis at our workplace. On a more precise level would like to know which parts of the company have the most chance of being next in line for a reorg. Ani info on this or maybe some interesting theories?

It's those groups/areas that do not "gripe" about it. Before I left, the VP of Ops was trying to outsource the entire warehouse operation at Frito. He figured 3PL labor could do it cheaper and just as efficiently as our employees. I suggested we outsource the entire traffic department as clearly there were companies that could haul loads and deliver products. This would not only allow us to get rid of labor but also the huge investment in OTR trucks and trailers. However, since truck drivers are probably the most vocal group of employees at Frito and have threaten union activity at almost every plant, that idea got completely squashed.

Yes, the entire IT will be outsourced. Time to start looking for new opportunities.

Every single part of IT. And I think any team that is moved to GBS is ripe for outsourcing.
