For 12 to 14 dollars an hour its a great part time job (under 20 hours )...that being ssid...i will rotate, stock and make sure the plano is correct....thats it...im not "selling " shlt....sales people need and make salaries of 75,000.00 a year to deal with corporate offices...im not sure why or how these multi million dollar companies think that they can fire all their people to save money and expect a merchandiser to do their bidding...just keeping their space on a shelf with all the store brands is a fight in itself. ..they should be grateful

My boss did everything in her power to make her employees look bad. With only 6-8 hours allotted per store, she would Nick pick everything. She would be nice to your face, then call the unit manager, and make false reports. She was doing this to make her position seem exceptionally needed. Also that meant she had to cover these stores, getting mileage pay etc. And I know the workers in these 2 stores, and they would tell me they never see her in their stores , maybe once a month. So it's people like her that put these companies like Acosta in financial disaster, lying and taking advantage of their position, costing the company more money. So basically she is driving most of the day, visiting stores quickly, making it look good on her tablet. And banking mileage and making her position look more needed because she gets everyone fired or they quit. Poor management is a big problem. My district manager would not even hear my side of everything. He told me on one call, she was so good at her job, he never had to leave his office.
Typical day is overworked and underpaid.
Employees are definitely not treated equal.
Promotion is non-existence.
No annual raise in five years.
Upper management are the only ones who benefit from bonuses, regardless of how dedicated and how far over and beyond you go.
Was hired to assist the workload of another employee that did not pull their load as they used their time to work their independent contact job.
When it was time for Performance Review, management was alerted of my workload versus the other employee's workload but did not believe the volume of work that I completed.
Instead of me getting a good performance review so that I could get a good annual raise, I was slapped with "Team Players help out one another".
The other employee got a good raise.
Not an equal employee opportunity company seriously!!!
12 to $14 an hour 3 years ago was good over three years later you're still making the same pay when competitive companies are paying their employees 3 to $4 more per hour. There's a reason why they can't keep any employees and they do not reward the ones that are actually doing their jobs
It's crazy that Acosta expectations are for the Merchandisers to do selling of surveys and pre sell clients promotions. An extreme amout of objectives to answer and very little time allotted. Very low pay and they expect free labor!
