I am one of the DMs severanced. Been with the company 1 month short of 5 years. Had no negative coaching in my entire history and of course no tangible information was given as to why I was severanced versus offered the a DM role. Getting my severance package has been an arduous task didn’t get any info until I escalated to the Regional HR Manager now, waiting for payment anyone else experiencing this?

The way they cut was very pick and choose in my store. Pretty much the SM took advantage of this situation and kept the favorites and let go of the rest. I have Worked so hard for this company and I didnt deserve this. A lot of people didn’t deserve this. It was handled very unprofessional. Shame on NORDSTROM for not knowing any of this. This is not the company I signed up For!111
I just got mine and they taxed the c-ap out of it. (Of course when they give you the paperwork to sign, the amount shown is before applicable taxes.) Iguess it gets taxed like it’s a “gift” or “bonus” or something? Almost 40% taken out. Crazy.
I am in the exact same boat. Finally received my severance package last week. Just went online to accept and sign for it. Hope I get my money quickly. Really would like to put this whole ordeal behind me. May I ask what departments you managed? I was Individualist and POV.
