We could argue that how could we provide better customer service with a lowered headcount and inexperienced workers. That’s the truth, unfortunately the customers don’t give a sh-- about that and want to shop where they can find what they want at a good price and where they are treated well. It’s sad that we created such a mess of the company, in times where competition is fierce and where every customer counts.

So what you saying then is, youre not needed, and customers can simply shop themselves and online?
We provide a service. Period. Yes, customers shop for good prices, and we are competitive.
I dont know what your belly aching about here with so many viable other areas to complain about,
The person who commented is more on track. I agree, what Marv says, is NOT happening at the store level. Hes aware budgets per store are pathetic, and its impossible to do what he says while all the time, HE KNOWS IT! Very unethical,
We have no lumber dept. So guess what? The Pro dept works lumber every day, and is never at the Pro desk. Yet, Marv demands coverage. Its nonsense. While Pro tasked away from desk, they have cashiers and managers cover. Again, taken away from their duties. All Marv does is put out fires, create holes, and then complain about how we do it while the entire time he does not provide resources needed.
Shame on him, and all of corporate.
Ellison and his cronies are clueless! These choreographed store visits with Ellison going around are a joke. It’s FAKE NEWS plan & simple. The reality in the stores couldn’t be farther from what Ellison espouses. Ellison talks about scheduling associates when customers are shopping.
First you have to employ people & have them available to schedule!!! Mr. Ellison, go to a store unannounced and see the reality of the mess under your leadership!
