I know I'm not the first to say this and I will most likely not be the last, but whatever happens today, you will be okay. Everybody I know who either left Xerox or was laid off is doing so much better now. There is a transition period where it looks bad, of course, but in the end everything turns out well.
Today is not the end of the world.
