Those who are being rebadged met with a manager and were told they have until Friday/Monday to accept offers from HCL. If they do not accept they will be terminated. As of today they are considered HCL employees. No benefits should be changing. HCL will be coming in and documenting daily activities of those rebadged. Once they know what jobs can be outsourced, those that can be will be terminated by HCL, those who cannot be will transfer back to being a Xerox employee. 18 month contract but changes should not be taking that long. If you know your job is easily outsourced I would accept the offer if you don’t have something lined up but begin job searching immediately.

If HCL decides you are being outsourced and lets go severance will be paid. Seek legal advice. Based on your years with Xerox they will have to pay.

But ultimately... the HCL employees are not going to be kept forever, right? They are going to impart their job wisdom to HCL and then be laid off?
Yes we will work from the same location, we do get severance pay if HCL does not needs us after that or before. The insurance is better than what we have now. Our vacation time will be transferred. Our hire date will stay the same..
I feel so much better now that I know what the future holds.
It still s---s that they have broken up GIS such a profitable entity. But blessed to know I was not laid off, differences we are not getting our paycheck from Xerox but from HCL.

Same location, even better benefits. For sure if you don't have anything lined up sign the contract or else you will be ask to resign (no unemployment or serverance).
Where will they work from if they are rebadged? The same location or will they report to an HCL headquarters?
