Thread regarding General Electric Co. layoffs

So, how many layoffs are these restructures gonna produce?

I see that there is some sort of a reorganization is rumored in nearly every GE business. If Half of that turns out to be true, those are still enormous shifts. So, what does that mean in terms of layoffs. How many GE workers will pay the price of all of these shifts. Thoughts???

Lammas said that nobody needs Alstom Technology only GE stuff...

Very motivating for the Baden folks...

With cash flow being negative, don’t be surprised when it is not just layoffs but also more sales of businesses to others who then will restructure after they pick apart the business.

Anything outside of Renewables, Gas Power and Aviation are up for sale.

Plus, Aviation has to worry about the 737 Max hurting the LEAP engine production rates.

If anyone actually reads the press releases and stories on what Culp has been saying since late Nov 2018, lots and lots of salary and management is going to get cut across the board. Read the words, don't try to interpret them, that always leads to more BS rumors!!!

My thought if it matters because t Rates lives matter is stock pile cash and spruce up that resume. No union will help you retain this JOB nor will the union find you another job. Ge will cut all the $50000 a year t rates so big wigs can keep getting paid with bonuses and millions of dollars a year salaries. I’m saving everything I can and my resume is on the job boards.

Lammas said “aggressive cost actions” forthcoming in his organization. Not sure what all that entails, but does not sound good.
