OP as a matter of perspective, the GOP is slamming all Dems as being socialists yet Trump has shown the most socialist traits of any leader including directing private companies. It’s a bit id--tic. He wants to deregulate, then act like a king and dictate what he wants to companies. To answer your question, He helps his friends the most. He is Carl Icahn. They are of the same blood.

From a new perspective, Trump does not like GM's CEO, Mary Barra, and really needs those Ohio voters to get re-elected in 2020. At Xerox, Trump is very tight with Mr. Icahn and while upstate New York voters lean heavily to the GOP (the Dems could not even beat Collins for the 27th District even with criminal charges hanging over his head), there are not enough of them to outweigh the left leaning voters in and around NYC.
