Tuesday is the day you will find out if you are being rebadged to an HCL employee starting April 1st.You will have to decide in a few days whether to accept the offer they give you. If you don't, you have resigned. How do they expect us to finish the month in one piece?. It's quarter end. Why work hard from them? They've closed most of our offices, we've lost alot of our co-workers already. It's been touture. And It's only going to keep happening with whoever survives Tuesday.

Is sales offshore backoffice affected? We barely work nowadays with no reps left
@Y6XSNgC-1nby - If you have seen a list, can you specifically tell us which departments were affected?
@Y6XSNgC-1bgh thats partially true. Originally they were the only departments impacted. But the recent list we got included people from nearly every department outside of sales and service.
Let's be clear on the HCL Re-Badging. This is not affecting ALL XBS employees. More than likely, it will affect a few administrative positions (most likely AR/AP and perhaps some HR functions). Sales, service, dispatch, supplies, and most operations functions will not be affected by this move. I have stated on this blog previously, the reason for this re-badging is to make these positions contract workers. Contract workers don't have the same rights as full-time employees. So, when Xerox or XBS is sold off, contract workers will be easily shed. If there is any question as to the intentions of the senior management team, just read this recent post: https://www.thelayoff.com/t/Y6U3wjs
Wondering if Xerox would feel any pain if all the employees re-badged to HCL resigned. Would that make it more difficult for them?
I am just so sad!!!! Corporate greed is the cause of so many middle class families financial decline. I wish my core never got sold to global, it was such a great company when we were a private owned dealer years ago, I wish all my sister cores out there the best, don't let this defeat you!
Cores are the XBS (formerly Global) locations. They are all over the US. Most of us were small family owned copiers companies that got bought up Global. Global is now called XBS and XBS is owned by Xerox. Global was an acquisition company.
I keep reading the word ‘core’. What is core and can you provide an example(s) of. Core?
Thank you for this information. @Y6XSNgC-1duc please keep us updated after this.
So are you saying that on Tuesday all core employees will either work for HCL or have no job at all? How do they expect us to do any work? It's quarter end, this is such bad timing. So does anyone know if we get offered HCL but decline of we get a severance and paid out for earned vacation time?
@Y6XSNgC-1ixr yes can't say how I know but it is first hand.
It's happening at the cores. Management has known who's affected for days but they are waiting for Tuesday. So much for loyalty and appreciation. They should have let the affected people know. Instead we have to worry all weekend.
I have heard nothing in the Webster offices about this, only in this forum. Do the rumors imply this is only XBS, or more groups and organizations?
Does sales offshore backoffice also? We barely even work for sales reps now.
@Y6XSNgC-1ggn - is this a fact? Dang, this so sad.
They have known about what is going down and share nothing!
All impacted employees will have those two choices. They have been changing their minds on which positions are eligible and how many each core has to get rid of.
The XBS president's get their final list and their matching orders on Monday afternoon.
Blogs have been out there since January to go to the media, protest, don't work or perform. Nothing may have changed, but it would not have hurt. Now so many are surprised! Did you all think upper management was going to tell us anything?
Are you saying that ALL employees will only have two choices (HCL or resign)?
If offered take it and start applying for other jobs. A bad job is better then no job.
Do we know for SURE this is happening? And to what departments?
I'm willing to bet many of us don't even know what's going on. And they may not know what be re-badged to to HCL means. And I'm guessing management won't explain it truthfully.
So we only have two options - go forth with HCL or not (resign)? I hate that it's come to this. I hate that there are no other options. I hate that we have to sit here and watch it all happen with no chance to DO anything.
This s---s.
This is sick. I can't believe it's happening this quick. Screw their quarter end
