Thread regarding Lowe's Cos. layoffs

Is anyone waiting for the 1st severance payout or the 2nd payout

Is anyone taking the 2nd severance that was sent out? Or is anyone demanding the 1st payout?

Oh, they'll have an excuse. And every single person you contact will have a different one, depending on the day or time. And you will get different excuses on the phone than you do through email. Nobody in payroll or severance will give you a straight answer. They're probably directed to be non-committal so you can't pin them down on anything, in case of a lawsuit or government action.

You'll either get your money they promised you, or you won't, at Lowe's convenience. Don't believe a word they say until you see the check or direct deposit.

They have 2 weeks from the time they received to process it. Anyone who is still waiting needs to contact the labor board, corporate, the news, a lawyer or anyone else to ensure you get your money. No excuse not to have paid you already!

Yup. Still waiting. I sent my paperwork in February, I have the certified mail receipt and Lowe's has acknowledged by phone they got the paperwork in February and told me it would be processed this week for sure

But still no money as of today, Friday March 22.

It states in the severance policy that your severance could take up to 90 days to come through. Read the paperwork

Since Lowe's wasn't responding to emails to the severance email address since I started emailing them two days ago, I called them today.

They are now saying that when they said "14 days" to process the severance, they meant 14 BUSINESS days.

So a one month notice to get get canned, forced to stay with them for the month in order to get severance benefits, which cut into job search, got job, started, already got first paycheck, and I will likely have my second paycheck before Lowe's pays out a severance. Good thing I had money in the bank. I feel for those who didn't.

Thanks Marv!

It has been well over two weeks since Lowes has received my signed severance package, and I have yet to see any payout.

I did receive the SSEI by direct deposit last night, but no inventory bonus.

I’m told performance bonuses did not drop today, just SSEI, so there’s still hope for us laid off folks. I would guess on the 29th.

It looks like my SSEI just deposited, but no inventory bonus yet. Please tell me they aren’t going to try and weasel out of that?!?!?

I got my severance on 3/1. It was the second amount they offered. I just signed and took my money. There’s nothing to fight.
