So many people I know and see here say they're only staying at PepsiCo for severance. Do you not realize that severance is far from guaranteed? It's on the company to decide if it wants or doesn't want to provide severance. There is nothing in the law that mandates they have to do it. Just saying, if that's what you're waiting for - your wait might turn out to be for nothing...

Pepsico is a multinational company , depends of course on the country they are restructuring in , in a lot of European countries severance is quite good build in social legislation
that's true, people at IBM with 30 years service get booted out with 4 weeks pay....see ya...
Also they can do a re-badge as they have done in the past and you get zero severance
