It's good for Bridgepoint Education and Ashford University that they have lots of friends in DC. But fudging numbers is a really bad idea. Look at what's happened at Dream Center Holdings and the collapse of Argosy University and the Art Institutes. In that case, DCEH was misappropriating government funds that were supposed to be going to students

If Bridgepoint is playing around with federal money, delaying payments to students, someone needs to report it to the ED-OIG before it gets out of hand.
The OIG Hotline is available for anyone who knows of or suspects fraud, waste, abuse, mismanagement, or violations of laws and regulations involving ED funds or programs. This includes allegations of suspected wrongdoing by ED employees, contractors, grantees, schools and school officials, persons in positions of trust involving ED funds or programs, collection agencies, recipients of student financial assistance, or lending institutions. If you have knowledge of any wrongdoing involving ED funds or operations, let us know!
