Thread regarding Whole Foods Market Inc. layoffs

OnePlum is a failure

Your scales will soon be converted if they haven't already. They combined multiple departments together so you can't find what you're looking for. If the price is wrong, the SSS can't even reload it anymore. The MSI can't either. You have to call the help desk. Two days go by and the prices are still wrong. They are giving stuff away at the register because the wrong prices cause an error. Another big fail.

Those scales and system, in general, were a joke. If you had just one scale offline in the whole store then all the others would not get the updated information. I'm surprised they haven't even fixed this after being gone for over 1.5 years.

We have given more product away this week than in the 6 years I have been here combined. There is also a bug that certain things ring up for pennies. High ticket Seafood is slipping out the door for like 10 cents because of some problem with decimal points on the scale labels.

Our scales are constantly wrong now. Nothing like wrapping a bunch of product for an hour only to find out the prices never got updated. One scale in our dept has has no items in it for 4 days.

Ours were converted in January. Larger labels, smaller print. Eye strain trying to read the writing on them. My optometrist is not going to be happy when he check my eyes this year.

as a long time SSI, all this "automation" and centralization does is hurt stores. relying on GHD, who in itself is outsourcing some of its services, wastes time and money, since the program is very rarely beta'd a high degree of success.

They didn't plan for the meat wrappers for the conversion. The auto meat wrappers stopped getting price updates. For sale items we have to wrap them first then sticker them separately on a bizerba scale which doubles our work. I heard they are scrambling for a solution.

For those that are confused, scales used to be maintained by the SSS or SSI with a web application called ePlum, which they now call onePlum because it's centrally controlled. They could reload the scales if the data got out of sync. They are taking that ability away and counting on the global help desk to check your scales everyday...except they are not.

The bad news is that you will wait a looong time when there is a data error in your scales once you convert over.
