Why announce through media that layoffs would last for two weeks just to have it all wrapped up within one? They must have known how long it would take them in advance, what was the point of saying otherwise? To play with our emotions? Please tell me, how is this okay?

Would you rather they say it's going to last one week and have to end up doing it over two if necessary? Better to overstate the timeframe than under
