Thread regarding Lowe's Cos. layoffs

Installed Sales to be eliminated

Corporate is in the process of phasing out installed sales. Wrapping up current lawsuits and looking for logistics solutions to end contracts with contractors.

Any installed sales employees will be moved to sales floor for 30 days, and then will be tasked to find a new position or be terminated.

Likely scenario is installed sales employees will be shifted to spring/summer season work to eliminate hiring of seasonal help, if timing can be executed.

Focus will shift on bulk order materials for pro teams and extended focus on taking a larger chunk of the online retail space for construction and maintenance fields.

Any installed sales employees should consider searching for new employment.

Heres one of the problems with these boards.. someone's got to post something falsely to try and get brownie points..

Installed Sales is not going away.. PSI is going away. If you have INstalled sales in your store, it will stay there. If you are on CPO then as for now it will stay CPO... There is nothing saying installed sales within the store is going away anytime now or in future. I assume one day they will have to either go CPO or not, but that day is not being mentioned for 2019.. CPO has been shown to work in some areas and it's shown to be disaster in other areas, so keep that in mind..

Where did you get source of misinformation from?

I wonder if Potato Brian is referring to the company going full blown CPO. That would eliminate Install Sales. They could do it but they better get CPO right or its a ............

How on earth could your PSI be doing that much business, but you turn right around and say there's not enough houses in your area to do that much business? Was your PSI and GC building houses or remodeling kitchens and bath like they were supposed to be doing?

“Not Exactly True”

Cabinet Specialists are scheduled for 3 weeks of training on new Legacy Install program in March.

Since Marv chopped Billions a year in revenue by cutting PSI. He’s expecting cabinet specialists to sell enough installs to fill the void. This is but another uninformed idea destined for failure. Just at our store we would have to sell over 500 cabinet installs a year to make up for what our PSI sold. That’s 9.6 per week. Geographically, there’s not that many households in our area remodeling their kitchen. Especially, if you multiply that by the number of Lowe’s stores in our area.

Someone new at corporate failed math class. I wonder who that could be???
