Thread regarding Citrix Systems Inc. layoffs

Worried and need advice

I just started at Citrix and everyone is so mean and cut throat. I am asked to follow this 5 stage process for our dept which is totally lame and not industry standard. Is Citrix usually this formal? The department I work in is in complete chaos and the leader appears clueless. They are a former consultant that I recently found out was forced out of a pharmaceutical company for unethical practices. Should I leave ?

I used to work for Citrix and I learnt to call the place c--trix. I wouldn't reccomend working there to my worst enemy.

Less pay than outside, horrendous working hours, unrealistic deadlines and everyone in your "team" who thinks making you look bad makes them look good - because they are under the same pressures as you. But you get to put Citrix on your CV so apparently this is supposed to compensate for all of that.

sorry to hear of your predicament. However it is not surprising since most department heads are micro managers who have little management training and were installed because they are friends or related to their boss. all the good stock and raises go to the patrons in this incestuous chain of friends.

Most employees would leave if they had a chance so have courage and get out as soon as you can.

Ahhh. Yes I know who you are referring to. A blowhard consultant with no real word experience. They read many books on business and schmoozed their way to the top.

By the looks of the dramatic reaction here it looks like HR and the department head are sweating. Look at all the negative reactions compared to other posts. The truth hurts, doesn’t it?
