Thread regarding General Motors layoffs

Two sides of the TRACK program

I think it really depends on the individual and jobs you get when you're in your TRACK rotation. I learned and gained a lot of knowledge working on different programs at different times of the GVDP. I was able to grow a huge network through all of the people I met and worked with throughout my 2 years in the TRACK program. I'd like to think I excelled in my previous roles and gained a reputation among my peers and leadership.

However, I have also met some TRACK Engineers who have been unexposed and do not enjoy their time in TRACK. It really comes down to the individual and what job rotations you gained during the TRACK program.

Regardless, this is a scary time for all. At the end of the day, leadership is who to blame because they overloaded with new hires, experienced hires, and old hires in the last couple of years and now they want to take the sword and swing it bluntly cutting out thousands of jobs. Good luck to all.
