GM is saving Designers for last because they do all of the actual work. IT? gone. Purchasing? See ya. I am trying to get something done that is gonna save GM millions of dollars going forward and dramatically improve customer feedback all while wondering if they are just going to walk up and tap me on the shoulder.
Please GM. Show us some mercy, if we are getting dropped please just get it done.
Hate to say it but Chrysler’s designers have done much more with interior design than GM and have always been innovative and a step ahead. Seems like GM copies a lot of the fresh ideas put out by Chrysler (think Ram exterior- Truck of the Year)
Yeah....great work on that Camaro mid-cycle refresh. But please, tell us more about how designers are God's gift to GM.
In my humble opinion whoever designs the interior deserves to be fired. Interior is the biggest let down in our current products.

Designers are cheap when compared to the salaries that experienced people in IT command, so they might not get hit as hard. Either way, best of luck - at least most of us IT workers will not have much of an issue finding a new job, designers......I hope they get to keep their jobs here because the prospects at other companies are not very good.
