The sword of Damocles isn't really applicable in this case. In the story it's meant to symbolise the threat felt by those in power of losing their position or being a target for those who wished them ill.
Be careful of C.H.U.D. in those tunnels!
If you work at the tech center I recommend you hide in the tunnels under the buildings. The can't fire you if they can't find you.
Just hide under your desk like any other day.
